Physical Symptoms of Anxiety Attack - How to Find Out If You Are Having a Heart Attack

Your heart is pounding, you have trouble breathing, and you’re trembling and shaking. Why are you feeling like this? Are you having a heart attack? Or are you having a panic attack? How can you be sure? Tired of guessing? Many have mistakenly felt that when they are having an anxiety attack they thought that they are having a heart attack. To find out if you are having an anxiety attack, here are some of the physical symptoms of anxiety attack.
Below are some of the immediate changes that the body suffers during an anxiety attack:
- Palpitations
- Pounding heart, or accelerated heart rate
- Sweating, trembling or shaking
- Sensations of shortness of breath or smothering
- Feeling of choking
- Chest pain or discomfort
- Nausea or abdominal distress
- Dizziness
- Fainting
- Fear of losing control
- Going crazy
- Fear of dying
- Chills or hot flushes
Along with the physical symptoms of anxiety attack, there are numerous emotional symptoms you need to consider as well, such as:
- Nervousness or very jumpy
- Confusion
- Frequently feeling restless or on the edge
- Insecure or self-conscious
- Feelings of dread, apprehension or uneasiness
If you’ve experience intense anxiety or worry for an extended period of time, probably 6 months or more, then you are more than likely experiencing anxiety disorder or panic disorder.
Anxiety disorder can interfere with the quality of a person’s life; it can affect a person’s work, relationship or daily activities. If this happens to you, then you should consider treating your anxiety disorder before it becomes much worse.
