What is Transvestic Fetishism?

Posted by anxiouswill in Prescription Anxiety Drugs on June 25th, 2009

Transvestism means cross-dressing. It is known to be common among heterosexual males however; cases where females were involved are also reported. An example is the case of Billy Tipton, a successful jazz musician in the 1930’s. Tipton had been married and had adopted three sons. When he died in 1980, the funeral director discovered that he was biologically, a woman. Although transvestism and transexualism are known to be similar there is a significant difference. Transsexuals wish to change their genitals and live as members of the opposite sex. They do not experience sexual arousal when cross dressing. On the other hand, transvestites continue to identify themselves as members of their biological gender, while cross dressing. Compared to non transvestites, the transvestites are more inhibited in their interpersonal relationships, less involved with other individuals and more independent. They seek less sympathy, love and help from others. Some clinicians firmly believe this condition is a result of disturbed parent-child relationships. Others believe is an aberrant psychosexual development. Behaviourists on the contrary believe that, it is a conditioned response that is susceptible to aversion therapy.

Who or what could be your best ally? Your breathing!

Why?

Deep, gentle and slow breathing makes us calmer, clearer, healthier. It keeps emotions under control and the connection between body and mind becomes stronger.

Deep and slow breathing is healthy breathing.

Most people are not aware of how they breathe. They breathe at a rate of at least 15-20 breaths per minute. Far too hasty and shallow.

It is not only the speed that is not natural. It is the lack of smoothness. It is the lack of depth. It is a shallow breathing with a reduced intake of oxygen.

We have no idea that we are seriously harming ourselves.

The ancient wisdom of China and India tells us that slow and deep breathing will improve our life in many ways. If we do it as an exercise for 15 minutes a day, our health will significantly improve.

In fact, if we breathe slowly, gently and deeply, we will fill our lungs with oxygen and with fresh air. No stale air will remain in our lungs.?Fresh air and full intake of oxygen means cleansing our body. It means fueling our organs and our mind.

As we are not used to breathing slowly, gently and deeply, we will have to learn it. Actually, it is vital that we learn it. It seems very easy and it is it. If you watch a few simple steps. Don’t do it for too long a time when you get started. It is very unfamiliar to feel the air going through your lungs up to their top.

Do you ever feel your breath in the lower part of your body? We usually feel our breath in the middle of our body.

Once you start with the slow, gentle and deep breathing, you start feeling the air first at the bottom of your belly, then you feel it flowing towards the top of your chest. When you have completely filled your lungs, you start exhaling slowly. Again, you can feel the air going out from the top of your lungs, through your whole body and exhaling ends when you feel the air going out at the bottom of your belly. This whole exercise is one breath. I suggest you slowly count to ten while inhaling and then you do the same while exhaling. Then you do the exercise over and over again. At the beginning you just do it for 5-6 times to get used to the movement. This movement? will actually not only let you feel the air. You will also feel your muscles. It is normal. Once you will have got used to it, it’s a real pleasure.

You will feel more and more relaxed and less and less stressed and anxious. With this ally you will keep your emotions under control, your anxiety will slowly (or even rapidly) leave you and you will finally enjoy life as it is meant to be. You will feel more strength, more joy, more happiness. Your over all well being is guaranteed. Your whole body and mind will work as nature had foreseen it.?

Self help tools market has always been a very active and attractive market in any industry. Self help anxiety disorder is no exception. Yet what we are going to do in this article is try to better understand the term “Self Help.

?

Self help is like saying you don’t need a professional to help you.
Instead of paying all those amounts for professionals, you can pay only a fraction of that and do it on your own. In many cases I am really skeptical about this. But I can understand the benefits in some areas.

?

For example we know that people respond to information in different ways. There are people who are more auditory; therefore, hearing lecture for them is more effective than reading a book.

?

There are what NLP call the kina-esthetics who understand and grasp concepts more through feelings and touch. Therefore, the coaching style with hands on experience is more effective with these people.

?

The last are the visual people, who learn better visually. For them reading and visual aids like slides, graphs and pictures are the best method for them to learn and understand.

?

The first reason for me to understand the value of self help is because of this difference in the way people are able to learn, understand and improve.

?

The second reason is that we realize that in some areas there could be no other way but self help. Meaning, that there are areas that the objective cannot be met except through self help tools, and there is nothing and no one can do it for you.

?

Let us take for example the self help anxiety disorder programs. Medication is the only anxiety solution method that is not a self help tool. That is if we can take medication as a solution.

?

Therapy in its essence is helping or guiding the person to make his/her own self discovery as a method for recovery. Self help anxiety disorder programs do just that. Of course, there are some steps and techniques that would guide the person into such discovery and eventually recovery.

?

We say medication in not an anxiety solution, because it fails to solve the root problem. It merely suppresses the symptoms. It has its good applications, but for sure it is not a long term solution.

?

When we search for self help anxiety disorder solutions we need to make sure that what catches our attention is not the hyped language. We need to make sure that such programs are credible and effective.
