If you are looking for information on anxiety attacks and recovery then I think I can help you out. I too was in the grips of anxiety and panic attacks just a few years back and it is really dark and I feel for you if you are going through this now. There is ways out of it if you are willing to work at it though and honestly believe there is a way. You firstly have to become aware what is happening to your body and mind.
For millions of years humans and their ancestors have had to have a body that can adapt to certain situations to survive. If someone was coming after you with a club and you were a caveman you have to have the ability to fight them or run away fast or you would die. This has been hardwired into our brains and we react with something called ‘fight or flight’ every time that we feel a threat.
We do not live in a world that has constant threats anymore but our body still reacts the same. When we feel danger of death out blood goes from our brain to our muscles to help us run or fight. This is there to help us but actually annoys a lot of us really.
So how can we recover? A great technique for starters is a technique I like to call awareness. What you do is when you feel the panic or anxiety attack rising, you become aware of what it does to your body. You watch it happening but as a bystander rather than being taken over by it, No thoughts, just watch it. You change your relationship to it. It is no longer you but is just something that happens to your body. This is an extremely powerful shift.
Do you owe it to yourself to give the best to your kids and friends? Anxiety affects all those around you and we both know this so my honest advice is to get this area sorted as soon as possible, you owe it to yourself.
