Get Rid of Panic Attacks Quickly - Fast Remedies For Anxiety

There are many ways to potentially get rid of panic attacks. Unfortunately, most of them just don’t work as quickly as you would hope. When you’re having a panic attack, you want it to go away as quickly as possible!
Perhaps the easiest way to stop one is to take medication. Most anxiety medications are extremely addictive, and many of them have dangerous side effects, so that’s not the best option available for most people.
Herbal treatments may help some people. Kava and valerian root are two of the more common herbal remedies. Both of these herbs have been used for centuries for a variety of ailments, including anxiety and insomnia. They are considered safe, but shouldn’t generally be taken on a regular basis.
One quick way to get rid of panic attacks is to try deep relaxation and breathing. This is a form of meditation in which you must close your eyes, relax as much as possible, and breathe slowly and deeply.
As you relax, try to notice every muscle in your body. Start with your head, first relaxing the muscles in your forehead. Work your way slowly down your body, relaxing the muscles in your face, your neck, shoulders, arms, and fingers. Then move on to the muscles in your back, stomach, buttocks, thighs, calves, and all the way down to your feet and toes.
As you progressively relax these muscles, keep breathing slowly. Breathe in through your nose, and exhale out through your mouth. Be careful not to allow your breathing to become too forced, or you might hyperventilate. Hyperventilation would almost certainly make your attack worse, so if you notice yourself feeling a bit dizzy or lightheaded, take a break and breathe normally for a while.
You may also want to splash your face with cold water, or hold a cool, damp washcloth over your face or on the back of your next. Sometimes this is very helpful for ending a panic attack quickly.
Finally, be sure you’re getting enough sleep and that you’re eating right. Cut back on sugar and caffeine, both of which can make anxiety attacks worse. Drink plenty of water, and get some exercise to help get rid of any excess adrenaline in your body.
