Can You Be Happy With Anxiety?

Just to answer the question: yes you can be happy, even if you suffer from anxiety. The two emotions we are talking about are quite different one from the other.

Anxiety causes states of fear, of unpleasant physical sensations. Happiness, on the contrary, is something which uplifts your spirit.

However, if you feel happiness in an exaggerated way, your state of mind could just turn around and so could your physical manifestations. In other words, if happiness causes you a heavy pounding heart and you can hardly breathe, then the anxiety might take over.

Strong feelings can have similar effects on your body. even if their basics are different. One is caused by nice events, the other by nasty things, or even by something unknown.

Anxiety may be deeply rooted or it may be caused by something you just dislike. Both aspects are unpleasant.

Happiness may be deeply rooted in your heart or caused by some pleasant things that are happening in the very moment.

You see, there are different types of both feelings and emotions.The first certainly causes you sufferance and the second might, under certain circumstances also cause you difficulties.

If you try to be happy despite of your anxiety, it might be a difficult job. There are ways to being happy even if once in a while you suffer from an anxiety or panic attack. You can even educate yourself and create an inner state of happiness. This inner state needs to be fueled every single day. Try to find every day things, even little things, that give you a sense of happiness. You can even stay at home and find the little things. Think of your cup of tea or of coffee thar you drink. Feel its flavor and be happy that you are able to have that cup of tea or of coffee.This is only a small example of little things to be happy about. There are millions of them around, in your house, on your way to work,. You can find them everywhere. They are like little pearls. If you put them together one after the other, you will get a necklace of little things to be happy about! Do this search every single day and finally you will feel happiness all day long. These little secrets can open you new doors, the doors to a happier life in spite of anxiety. If you keep doing this, one day or the other you will see that your anxiety will have left. It might come back on certain occasions, but it will no longer be your continuous companion.

What you should be trying to establish is a steady positive feeling about life. This is a lifelong learning process but it is worth every moment you do it.
