If you think you may be suffering from anxiety attacks and find yourself asking “what are the symptoms of anxiety attack” then this article is a must read. I use to suffer from anxiety attacks and I overcame them through a simple method called “relaxation”. I am going to start this article off by listing some of the symptoms of an anxiety attack then I am going to show you 3 methods of relaxation you can use to quickly and effectively get rid of your attacks. Those three techniques are controlled breathing, point focusing, and self-hypnosis.
Lets start off by listing some of the symptoms of an anxiety attack: Trebling and shaking of the fingers and toes, Heart palpations, Chest tightness, Feeling like there is a lump in your throat, Going to the bathroom more than usual, Sweating more than usual, having hot and cold flashes, Vomiting, Headaches, Stomach aches, Nausea, A feeling of unreality, Constantly being “on the edge” and always fearing your death.
So if you are experiencing any of those symptoms you could very well be suffering from panic and anxiety attacks. If you don’t do anything about them they won’t go away so make sure you take action and correct them. Let’s talk about some of the ways to get rid of the attacks.
Breathing: This is an easy technique that should be used when you feel an anxiety attack is about to happen. Focus on your breathing. Just breathe in slowly and out slowly. Focus on each and every breathe and nothing else.
Focusing on a single object: This is another good technique to use when an anxiety attack has already started. Find an object and focus on it. Don’t look at anything else beside that object. Let your brain put all of its energy into that object. Try to notice all the cracks, dents, and different colors. This will give your brain something else to think about.
Self Hypnosis: This is a great way to prevent an anxiety attack. Just lay down in a quiet place, close your eyes and just relax. Let yourself “go”. Don’t worry about anything; let your mind “wonder”. Start off by imagining that you are in control of your panic attacks. The subconscious mind will begin to believe it and once the subconscious believes it then you will no longer have the attacks.
Stop Freaking Out! Anxiety Group Therapy Can Be a Great Treatment For Panic Attack Sufferers

There are several different techniques for treating anxiety, the most common of which is when a patient has a one-on-one session with his doctor or therapist. However, this style of treatment doesn’t suit everyone, and if you are one of those people, you may benefit from anxiety group therapy. Anxiety group therapy is a treatment where a group of patients who all suffer from anxiety meet at the same time. The therapist acts as a moderator, and the people in the group share past experiences and stories, as well as learning how to cope with anxiety.
Sharing Stories
People who suffer from anxiety often feel like they are completely alone, but the great thing about anxiety group therapy is that you are sharing your treatment with people who are experiencing exactly the same problems and going through exactly the same things. This can be really helpful in treating the root cause of the problem. Hearing about other people’s experiences and stories can be extremely beneficial and is a great first step towards treating your anxiety.
How to Deal with Anxiety
Anxiety group therapy also teaches patients how to recognize the situations and events that trigger their feelings of anxiety. By learning to recognize these emotions, patients are better able to deal with the anxiety. The treatment also teaches people how to deal with anxiety when it strikes by doing simple relaxation exercises so that they feel like they are able to control their anxiety no matter when or where it strikes.
Building Relationships
Another great aspect of anxiety group therapy is that it encourages extremely strong bonds and friendships to form. You will meet a lot of people who are in exactly the same boat as you, and this helps to create a social support network that you can use whenever you feel like anxiety is starting to take over again. Of course, your group therapy session may only take place once a week, but you can call someone from the group at anytime of day or night if you feel like you need to talk.
Anxiety group therapy is ideal for anyone who feels like their life is controlled by anxiety, and is unable to enjoy doing everyday activities. Remember, a small amount of anxiety is perfectly normal in certain situations, but if anxiety starts to play a major role in your life then you should really seek out some help by speaking to your doctor.
